David Faxon - Owner
I started my career as Personal Trainer in 1993 at Gold’s Gym in Salem. Four years later I opened my first gym in McMinnville and then a second location in Newberg in 2002. Outside of work I enjoy fly fishing and cycling. I believe it is important to constantly continue to expand my knowledge of nutrition and training. I see a lot of my new clients try to make over their entire life in one fell swoop, I believe it is important to make smaller incremental changes in lifestyle and fitness habits; it’s a life long commitment.
Brooke Meyer - Sales Manager
I have been with Excell Fitness since it was Gold’s Gym, 21 years ago. For most of those years, I have enjoyed working as the sales manager. What I like most about my position is the opportunity to meet and interact with new and old members. Many of my most enduring friendships have started here. When I’m not working, I enjoy paddle boarding, traveling, running, working out with our personal trainers, and spending time with friends and family.
Angie Yochum - Group Fitness Coordinator
I've been a group-fitness instructor for 20 years and the Group Fitness Director for Excell Fitness for over a decade. What I appreciate most about my position is watching participants transform into life-long exercisers through group exercise; they quickly discover that exercising is #BetterTogether, and they become dedicated to our classes. When I'm not leading adult fitness classes, I'm probably at school teaching elementary PE classes or shuttling my own three boys to their sporting events. When I'm not on the move, I enjoy gardening, wine tasting, and writing.
